Meet our friendly Pediatricians, Family Nurse Practitioner and Integrated Health Therapist! We are dedicated to helping you and your children feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. Our team consists of experienced, compassionate pediatricians and a friendly, nurturing staff all of whom take pride in giving our young patients the personalized pediatric care that they deserve.

To provide the most up-to-date care and address the special needs of infants, children, and teens, our pediatricians are all board certified and have undergone extensive academic and clinical training in pediatrics. In addition, they continue to maintain their certification by undergoing the the rigorous maintenance of certification in pediatrics.

Children's Medical Group believes in a team approach to your child's health and well-being. Our doctors collaborate with parents to provide the highest level of care. Our practice works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy to college. Dr. Gina Rosenfeld

Dr. Rosenfeld has been practicing as a pediatrician in private practice for over 18 years. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Rosenfeld completed her Pediatric Residency at The University of California, San Diego and Children's Hospital San Diego. She received her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from The University of California San Diego.

Dr. Rosenfeld believes the best part of being a pediatrician is the long term relationships she builds with her patients and their families. "It is truly amazing to be part of so many wonderful families".

Dr. Rosenfeld has two wonderful boys of her own and is busy with school and sports. She loves being a mom and in her not so free time likes to shop, design, bake, and go on long walks with her Lab Benny.

Dr. Rosenfeld is an honored recipient of the Patients Choice Award 2008-2015, Patients Choice Award 5-Year Honoree, On Time Doctor Award 2014-2015, Top 10 Doctor Metro Area 2014, and Compassionate Doctor Award 2010, 2012.



Dr. Traci Socha

Dr. Traci Socha (pronounced So-ha) has been with Childrens Medical Group for 16 years. Although she works part-time, Dr. Socha has office hours every day except Monday. Dr. Socha is originally from the east coast (outside of Philadelphia), but after receiving her medical degree from Des Moines University, she moved to Southern California for her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University/Children’s Hospital and never returned! She is married and has two energetic boys. With her free time, Dr. Socha enjoys activities with her family such as going to the beach, hiking, biking, and skiing.



Emily Rorabaugh FNP

Emily is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (AANP). She completed her undergraduate BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from Illinois State University. She worked as a RN in critical care for 8 years before going back to school to get her MSN (Masters of Science in Nursing) from Georgetown University. She has been working as an FNP for about 7 years. She enjoys caring for people of all ages but especially children. Emily loves being able to take care of children and watch them grow.

Emily was transplanted from her home in the Midwest of Chicago, Ill., due to her husband’s military service with the USMC. She lives in Oceanside with her husband, three growing kids, two dogs and a cat. In her free time, which she doesn’t have much of, she loves to bake and shop!




Sarah Porras LCSW/IHT

Sarah is our wonderful IHT (integrated health therapist). She is a valuable part of our team at Childrens Medical Group. She comes to us as part of the Transforming Mental Health Initiative from Rady Children's Hospital, bringing mental and behavioral health care to patients and their families alongside medical care.




Dr. Carolyn Monahan

Dr. Carolyn Owen Monahan grew up in Arizona. She graduated from ASU in psychology and educational psychology and attended UCLA Medical School. During her pediatric training Dr. Monahan completed an infectious disease fellowship.

Dr. Monahan practices traditional pediatrics, but is also very interested in practices that give optimum health far beyond mere absence of disease. Healthy diet, exercise, sleep, interfamily interactions and social relationships contribute to a full and healthy life.

She has three grown children with whom she loves interacting. Lauren teaches honors high school English and is a writer of young adult fiction. Daniel is a sculptor and multimedia producer. John is currently attending USC Medical School and she enjoys sharing wisdom from many years of practice and getting the newest ways to look at medical challenges. Dr. Monahan has also gone to Fiji, Kenya, and Guatemala to teach medicine on humanitarian trips to improve world health. Currently she is on the Board of Collegium Aesculapium with interest in teaching, rights of conscience, telemedicine, and emergency response. She enjoys being the grandma who gets to take her grandchildren to Moonlight Beach. See the book, "Last Child in the Wild" for her thoughts on nature and health.
